Big Win for Humanity
Okay, maybe that’s overstating things a bit, but that’s how we feel about having just removed Strong Foundations from Facebook. Though we’re committed to growing the company, we’ve decided that Social Media does as much harm as it does good, and so removing ourselves from that world is a way we can “lead by example.”
Then again, let’s be honest, it’s not like we ever posted anything anyway. This was a long time coming.

As a result, we have had no choice but to adjust our pricing , so make sure you check out our updated PRICING page for the most current information. But we also want to remind you of some of the discounts we have always offered (but it is good to be reminded):

Important Announcement: Another New Addition to the Strong Foundations team:
We are pleased to announce that this summer we took yet another step to grow our team with the adoption of Simon John on July 30th. Though we are presently hampered from making full use of Simon by child labor laws, we are looking at the big picture here, and are confident that 18 years down the road Simon will be able to make full use of his intelligence and gift of keen observation in order to make a strong contribution to the company.
For the time being, Simon will take over the role of Communications Director, once held by Malcolm. Malcolm will move into the role of Inspector’s Assistant (license pending).

Usually we give these warnings because we have seen just how wrong things can go if not done properly. In this new feature we want to explain and inform so that you know that we’re speaking from experience!
New for the New Year: FREE THERMAL IMAGING SCANS!
Happy New Year from Strong Foundations Home Inspection!
We are pleased to announce that we will now be offering FREE THERMAL IMAGING SCANS on all standard home inspections. We have always offered thermal imaging as needed, or upon request, but this year we want to emphasize this opportunity to use technology to aid us in serving you and your clients.
Thermal imaging has many benefits in the inspection process. It helps us to better identify the presence of moisture in some cases, it allows us to identify the location and causes of cold or hot air infiltration (gaps in insulation or unwanted air flow), it allows us to identify, in some cases, the locations of studs, joists and beams within a wall or ceiling (which can help identify changes made to the home structure), it allows us to identify some plumbing or heating issues.
Though not without its limitations, we are excited to make greater use of thermal imaging technology in the future in order to provide you and your client with just one more tool to make wise decisions.
Again, while other inspectors often only include thermal imaging as an option for an additional fee, we are excited to offer this service to your clients for FREE!
We've Moved!
Strong Foundations Home Inspection has recently relocated to the Tacoma area! What does that mean for you? Not much, to be honest. We still offer the same great inspections for the same territory in the Puget Sound (though we may be able to get to our Southend and Pierce County appointments a bit faster).
Moving into a new home also means the opportunity to do an inspection for ourselves for a change. We've inspected our "fixer", and the results are available at the "Sample Report" tab at the top of this page, or by clicking here.
